We offer nine (9) Introduction to Handguns Classes each week!
We also offer Minors Introduction to Handguns*, once a month, for anyone 17 years old and under!
* A parent or guardian, over 18 years of age, must also attend - at no charge.
The Introduction to Handguns Class is a 3 Hour Class and costs $80.00. You will learn:
- The Fundamentals!
- Stance
- Grip
- Breath Control
- Sight Alignment
- Trigger Control
- Follow Through
- Safe Handling & Storage
- Ammunition Types
- You will also Practice Shooting at our on site Indoor Shooting Range
Please bring to class:
If you are bringing your own handgun:
- Bring your UNLOADED handgun and UNLOADED magazine in a bag or case.
- If possible, leave your handgun in your vehicle until the instructor instructs you to bring the handgun to the shooting range.
- If you cannot leave your handgun in your vehicle, bring your unloaded handgun unloaded magazine and your ammo (in a bag or case) to the classroom. The Instructor will store your handgun and ammo in our Gun Cabinet. The Gun Cabinet is secure and is in the classroom. The instructor will give you your handgun and ammo when it is time for you to qualify.
- Only standard handgun calibers can be shot on our range.
- Bring 50 to 100 rounds of ammo for practice.
Note: We do not sell ammo. If you bring your own handgun(s), you will need to supply your own ammunition.
If you do not have a handgun and need to rent one:
- The cost of renting a handgun, including practice ammo:
- .22 (Semiautomatic) $15.00
- 9mm (Semiautomatic) $30.00
- .38 cal. (Revolver) $45.00
There are four ways to schedule an Introduction to Handguns Class. We do not require prepayment! You pay when you come to class.
